The short version
The app has no account and no sign-in. It does not ask who you are, and Spartadata LLC does not build a profile of you.
There is no advertising, no advertising identifier, no third-party analytics or tracking SDK of any kind in the app, and nothing you enter about your money leaves your own devices.
What stays on your device
Your holdings, your cost basis, your mining machine and electricity cost, your alerts, and every appearance preference are stored on the device.
Where you have iCloud switched on, they sync between your own Apple devices through Apple’s iCloud key-value storage, which is your iCloud account and not a server Spartadata LLC can read.
Share counts, and the record of how often the app has mentioned a subscription, are counted on the device and are never sent anywhere.
What the app fetches, and from whom
To show a price and the state of the network, the app requests public data from: Coinbase Exchange and Kraken (price, the day’s range, volume), mempool.space and Blockstream (blocks, fees, difficulty, hashrate), CoinGecko (market capitalisation, supply, public treasuries) and Alternative.me (the Fear & Greed index).
These are ordinary public requests. No account, no identifier and nothing you entered is sent with them. As with any internet request, the service that answers can see the IP address it came from, and each of those services has its own privacy policy.
Bitcoin Radio and live counts
Bitcoin Radio streams from a service run by Spartadata LLC on Cloudflare. While an app is open, and while the radio plays, it also sends a short signal about once a minute so we can count devices and listeners.
That signal carries a random number created on your device (not your name, email, Apple Account or device identifier), the kind of device, whether the radio is playing and on which station, your preferred language, the app version and whether a subscription is active. The service keeps the two-letter country the request came from, not the IP address. Nothing in it is linked to your identity or used to track you across apps or websites.
The Bitcoin Live activity
If you start the Live Activity, iOS issues a push token for it. The app registers that token with the same Cloudflare service so a price can be pushed to it about once a minute while the app is closed.
Stored with the token: whether the subscription is active, and the time it was registered. It expires within twelve hours and is deleted as soon as Apple reports it is no longer valid. It is not tied to an identity, and it is used for nothing but that activity.
Payments
Subscriptions are bought and managed through the App Store. Apple handles the payment and tells the app only whether a subscription is active. Spartadata LLC never sees your payment details.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and collects no information from them.
Your choices
Deleting the app removes everything stored on that device. Turning off iCloud for the app stops the sync. Not starting the Live Activity means no push token is registered. Closing the app stops the live counts.
Nothing held for the Live Activity outlives twelve hours, and stopping the activity ends it at once.
This website and the embed
bitcointicker.app sets no cookies and runs no analytics or tracking. The ticker you add to a website stores nothing and sends nothing to us: your visitor's browser loads one script from bitcointicker.app and reads the price from public exchange feeds.
